I obtained a first class law degree and achieved a distinction in my subsequent law finals.

My training contract was completed in 2013-2015 at a well -respected law firm in the West Midlands and was predominantly in family law areas.

I was admitted to the law society as a fully qualified solicitor in 2015. Since that time I have worked exclusively on family law matter and have successfully represented many families in a variety of legal proceedings and have established many links with organisations and charities involved in support to families across the West Midlands.

My time here at Sharratts has been rewarding as we represent clients in all aspects of family life and as such my experience has involved private and public law matters which include divorce and family breakdown; disputes as to the arrangements for children post separation and support to couples planning on cohabiting by providing suggested cohabitation agreements. In addition I have experience in domestic abuse situations and assisting clients in obtaining protective orders. A lot of our work involves Local Authority intervention into family life by way of Public Law Outline or Care Proceedings in respect of children and I regularly assist parents grandparents or other relatives or carers in these meetings or court cases. I have been involved in various complex public law matters which often include serious non accidental injury to children.

As a family law solicitor the legal aspects are often complex but also emotive for the family members involved and so as well as bringing my legal knowledge to the case I am also committed to ensuring that the client is supported and assisted by other resources whilst the case progresses.

I was recently involved in a family law matter concerning legal parenthood following a national audit of fertility clinics, these cases were reported and involved input from the Secretary of State for Health, the Attorney General and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority.

My passion and commitment to family law values and ensuring excellence for those that I represent was the reason I recently obtained the accolade of a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the field of Public and Private Children Law.

Resolution is the largest membership organisation for family justice professionals in England & Wales and sets a code of conduct for better outcomes for families, something which I am fully committed to.
